Codes of Conduct
As in all good clubs, Datchworth expects a certain standard of behaviour, thus creating an atmosphere in which all can enjoy their tennis.
Court Rules
- Suitable soft soled/non-marking tennis footwear must be worn at all times
- Appropriate attire must be worn on court. Tops must be worn at all times
- No bicycles, skates, skateboards, scooters, animals or any non-tennis related items on courts
- Net cords must be lowered following match play
- No cigarettes, alcohol or chewing gum are allowed on court
- Players / supporters to make sure all litter is placed in bins
- No photography without express permission of members and/or parents
Match Etiquette
- In case of line disputes a LET should be played
- Players should always shake hands with opponents at the end of the match (Covid-19 guidance permitting)
- No ball or racket abuse is acceptable
- No net jumping
- No foul or abusive language on court
Security
- The code for the padlock must not be shared with non-members
When leaving the court please ensure you lock the gate
